What should I upgrade?

Hello,

I was wondering what upgrade would increase my performance (mostly for gaming) the most.

My Specifications:
Processor: Intel Core I5-4670K @ 3.40GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR3 @ 1600MHz
HDD: 4TB (2x1GB + 1x2GB) Western Digital

Loading times are not the issue, so HDD to SSD is not in my biggest interest.

Thank you for helping!

Ruben.

I'd say maybe the CPU. Since your on the recent generation of technology, that's about all I can recommend. Maybe even GPU upgrade, but GPU upgrades are expensive for the time being due to crypto-currency. SSD is a recommendations, however not required.

I would say SSD or GPU even those wouldnt be a huge increase, CPU would require a new platform + RAM unless you for a 4770(k)/4790(k), and I dont have any problems running AAA games on a 4770k with a GTX 1070.

You should look to see where your limiting component is. Is it 100% CPU usage or 100% GPU usage and go from there.

I'd say only GPU, but prices are still a bit crazy due to stupid crypto these days. Keeps your eyes on the prices and see if any deals come up. What games are you playing?

I will keep my eyes open.
I currently play AC Black Flag, but often play modded Skyrim, Total War and some smaller less requiring games.
