If you're going to de-lid, there are careful instructions on this and where exactly to put the liquid metal so as not to damage anything so find the instructions for your specific cpu.

Is the H7 made of aluminum? I forgot. If so, don't use liquid metal, it will erode aluminum according to a few forums I've read.

That cooler has a nickel plated cold plate, so liquid metal should be fine on top of the IHS as well. You don't want to use it on bare copper.

Agreed, for the cost of the Cryorig & Delid Kit you could get a very good CPU cooler that would probably be just as effective and you don't need to take the risk of damaging your CPU.

Why are you delidding? Just for the hell of it or do you plan to do some heavy overclocking?
The H7 is a good cooler for the price but at the end of the day it is still a somewhat small air cooler. If you want to achieve 5ghz+ with good temps then something like an H7 likely wont be sufficient delidded or not.
