What is most important to look at for boot times?

Hey,

I wanted to know where I should look at when buying an ssd. I looked on the interwebs but I couldn’t find a good answer. I want to buy an ssd focused on booting windows 10, should I be looking more for IOPS or sequential speeds?

To be honest, in that aspect, it doesn't really matter!
While some SSDs are better than others, this doesn't impact the OS boot up speed.
It's all about the technology and access times. With HDDs, the data is stored on magnetic platters, and there are mechanical parts rotating/reading it, so it creates a bit of a delay, with SSDs however, the data is stored on memory chips, and there are no mechanical parts involved, so the access times are significantly faster (and this is what speeds up the booting process)

Barely any difference for boot times. If you want the fastest then you want a NVME M.2 Pci SSD as opposed to a SATA III SSD. But even between the two you'd be hard pressed to notice the difference in booting up windows.
