im trying to install my new gpu

so basically im trying to update my gpu to a gigabyte geforce gtx 1050 ti. once i have it installed it turns on with everything else but nothing comes on display just a black screen.
Specs.
msi h110m gaming (motherboard)
intel i5 -6500 @ 3.2mhz
radium 8gb ram
430w psu
HELP PLEASE

You're not accidentally plugging the monitor cable into the motherboard's iGPU port by mistake, are you?
Try re-seating the card a couple times. Same with the card's 6-pin connector (if that model has a 6-pin header).

if your monitor is vga only, make sure the adapter is powered ( active)
