Hi, I run a Windows Server 2012 R2 without a domain or AD. There are only 2 users created in WS2012R2 besides the default admin user. User A has admin rights and user B is a standard user. Both user A and B uses RDP to connect to WS2012R2. Other than A and B, there are other Win 10 computers with local user accounts connected to the network. These Win 10 users do not have accounts setup in WS2012R2 but would like to access files and folders in WS2012R2.
Is it possible to set up shares in WS2012R2 to these Win 10 users and have different read/write privileges? Thanks.

Of course. But each user will need an account on the server. Then you just select the file permissions you want for the share for that specific user. The share will have to be manually mapped to their individual computers most likely. It would be the same as if it is another Win7 machine or Win 10 machine that is sharing files.
