Could you suggest a good 500w psu to replace the 180w this computer comes with. Also this is for my grandson who is 10 and he is just getting into gaming. What video card in the 100 dollar range would be good for this cpu? Thanks in Advance

That case looks to have a tight fit for the video card, but cards right now, even for some lower end cards like the 1050 and RX 550, are close to 50% over what their prices were before the mining craze hit. Really nothing is worth buying now for gaming. Things are either out of stock, or in prices for cards a tier above or more.

Depending on the games you are talking about, you can get a GT 1030 for an OK system for gaming, unless you keep an eye out for a GTX 1050 or RX 550 or 560 to become available. Make sure you get the smaller versions though to fit your case.
Generally an unfortunate time to try and get into PC gaming at the moment, especially with gaming graphics cards at the inflated prices they are at.

If the CPU in that PC is what I read on HP's website (i7-7700) then ideally it should be paired with nothing less than a GTX 1060. That's not to say it can't be paired with a lower tier graphics card; it can, but it just won't be the most balanced system. Those cards are above your stipulation of $100 though (even without inflated prices). As such it leaves options like the RX 550 and the GT 1030, with the RX 560 and GTX 1050 just out of reach.

As for the PSU, this may depend whether HP have used proprietary hardware for that PC. According to their website info it does take an ATX power supply to the motherboard (looks like standard connection). The EVGA 500B is considered a good PSU for a reasonable price.
