So recently a friend told me that I woudn't be able to get high end graphics cards because i have ddr3.

Now i was wondering what is the best i could get as i have a really bad one i don't have lots of money so id like to keep it within £300 or £400 maximum.

I really need to find one fast and can someone also explain what ddr3 is and what ddr4 or 5 is aswell im really unsure why this doesnt let me get high end gear for my computer. If you can also possible tell me how to upgrade (which to buy for a good price aswell )my ddr3 to 4 or 5 then that would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Your friend is misinformed.

The type of RAM on your motherboard in no way determines the type of RAM that a GPU must have in order for it to be compatible - - - the two are entirely independent of each other.
