GPU or CPU not working

Hi, I got a new CPU resently, the AMD A6 9500, because before I had a I7 920 from, 2008, I go to play a game and I’m getting consistent 5-10 FPS, so I look into it and I see that my new CPU is sitting at 100% usage whilst my GPU, a GTX 1050 ti, isn’t doing anything.

Solution
This is my personal opinion, so take it with a grain of salt:
The I7 920 (4 core 8 Threads @ 2.67 GHz) is consistently a much more powerful CPU than the AMD A6 9500 (2 modules 2 cores @ 3.5 GHz), even though considerably older. This was a downgrade, and expensive at that. The A6 has problems feeding your GPU with enough data, while struggling to do other tasks (antivirus, and then something) at the same time. The A6-9500 is the second-slowest Option for Socket AM4.
Again, this is my personal opinion, bear with me.
As it is an AM4 CPU, you have the option to upgrade to a serious CPU, almost any Ryzen will be better by far.

Of course, your problem may still stem from bad cooling, that is, if your CPU throttles its speed, but even if that...

Umm yeah, I got rid of the i7 920 because it wasn’t working properly, it was in use for 10 yrs straight, can you give me an idea on what processor I should trade out the A6 9500 for. Thanks for the quick response though.
