What is the best processor for the motherboard M2N68-AM SE2 ASUS motherboard i have done Research but cant seem to find anything useful so maybe you can spark some light

I think you're referring to the 965? That, and the one I mentioned are both on the AM3 socket. Did you confirm that the cpu is compatible with your mobo with/out bios update? It may not mean anything, but the 965 isn't on the supported list on the site that I linked. There's also a 140w version out there as well, but the board likely can't handle it.

This is the only link I find that seems useful -- https://www.asus.com/support/CPU/1/24/17/12/C20071004155148/ There are some other links on Tom's asking about that motherboard and support for higher powered CPUs (95W or 125W). The answer in those threads was no-go.
