Hello,

Is it 100% save to overclock my ryzen 7 1700 to 4.0ghz with a Corsair H150i as cooler.

PS: will there be any downside or risk?

Solution
Downside and risk are variables that are primarily introduced by the person overclocking in most instances.

This also depends on 'why' you feel you need to overclock. If you take the time to do it well in the BIOS, then it can be rewarding provided that you do your research and employ good trial and error methods.

Hi thanks for your reply,

I have a Corsair 570x with a ll120 as exhaust fan, two ll140 on top and three ll120's in the front which are also the radiator fans.

Highest OC point depends on many things including "Silicone lottery" and of course motherboard. Nobody can guarantee it. If you keep it within limits that AMD set: maximum 1.425v and 75c it's quite safe providing VRM can take it. Good case cooling is a must because liquid coolers don't cool anything around them.
