Looking for a 2-4 port pcie x8 VMware esxi 6.5 compatible nic card for low cost

I’m looking for a 2 or 4 port Ethernet card that’s pcie x8 and VMware esxi 6.5 compatible for $120 or less. Preferably online store and no overseas sellers as they typically sell junk and visa gift cards won’t process international transactions 95% of the time

I use Intel on my servers at work and at home. Most of the time I use the EXPI9404PTL Intel card. It works well in ESXI 6.5. You can get them for as little as $25 used on Ebay or for $42 new at Amazon. They are PCIE x4 but of course would work fine in a PCIE x8 if thats all you have open.

Any two port versions you suggest?my board has two onboard and I’m running 4 VMware machines max so I don’t need a four port after all just a two.and yes it’s a 1gb I’m running

The 9y4232 IBM I340-t2 Dual Port Ethernet Adapter is based on the Intel I340-T2. As long as IBM has not loaded some proprietary firmware, then it should work. The VMware compatibility guide says the I340-T2 is supported and the driver in included with VMWare.

I opted for the four port you suggested for expandability any suggestions on pcie x8 or x4 sata controllers I’m running out of free sata ports on my board
