I have a deconstructed laptop installed in an old paper box which is absolutely wonderful, cooling is the easiest its ever been. I am running a nextcloud server on ubuntu on it, and now that everything is working I don't actually have to do much. I'm bored so I decided I should add another hard drive in raid1. My only problem is that I don't know how to hook a hard drive up to the optical drive thingy on the motherboard. I've seen the caddies available, but since my computer doesn't actually have a optical drive bay, I would rather use a cable to make the connection but haven't been able to find one. Anyone got any ideas? Furthermore, once I (hopefully) have the second hard drive connected, how do I make it be in raid1? I must admit I've never installed two drives in raid before.
