So yesterday I was just browsing the internet, was on wikipedia and then just a blue screen appeared. It was just a blue screen, no text, so I restarted my PC because in the last months I had blue screens with text and I just restarted my PC and it worked fine. Now it did not work. Yes, this could very well be my fault and I hope it is because I dont want something to be broken inside so that I have to buy something new. Why is it my fault?
Well, when the new Firefox Quantum arrived I updated so I can have it. But, I had a problem with it, my videos were in a different color. I know very little about computers and I thought it was my display drivers that were bad and I uninstalled them and thats where the problems began ( that was about 4 months ago) .
When I uninstalled the drivers my PC restarted ( I dont remember) and it auto. updated my drivers again. It was fine for some time, and I discovered that it was the quantums fault for the videos...but it was to late now. Then only when browsing on facebook I was getting a blue screen with a text (system_thread_exception_not_handled (atikmdag.sys)), and I just restarted my PC and it worked fine till the next day when the blue screen appeared again.
The blue screen appeared only 1 time in a day and only when browsing facebook. It was like that for a month or so and i decided to roll back my display drivers and it worked! I thought it was over with that and I didnt get no blue screens anymore, but now I got a new error (“Display driver stopped responding and has recovered”) also while on facebook and nowhere else. It just froze the screen for like 3 seconds with the error message and then it unfroze and worked fine again.
I thought it was better like that than the old blue screen when I had to restart my PC. After a while, I decided to update the drivers again, but the same blue screen appeared again, so i rolled back the update again. It remained like that till yesterday when the new blue screen happened . Now i could not even log in because it was all black with no cursor,on the keyboard only the num lock light worked.
I searched the internet for solutions, tried removing one RAM stick then another, removed the GPU and put it back in but it was all the same, black screen. So, I went to safe mode and uninstalled the display drivers and tried to install them again in safe mode but it wouldn't let me and I restarted my PC and now got a new blue screen with low resolution saying VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (atikmpag.sys).
I searched the web more and read somewhere to go to BIOS and put integrated graphics to force (it was on auto.). I did that and then I could login normally again, but the resolution was low now because I uninstalled my display drivers. I tried installing the drivers again now when I uninstalled them with Display Driver Uninstaller, but in the middle of the install a black screen appeared and then nothing. Again I could not log in. And here I am now, in safe mode with networking, without display drivers , and I dont know what to do. Maybe my hardware is broken, or maybe it is not and I can fix this somehow.
Sorry for the long text, but I had to write everything that happened, and I hope you can help me.
