lenovo tablet won't turn on

My Lenovo tab 2 A10-70F is 2 years old. Yesterday, for the first time ever, it would not turn on - there was no vibration or anything to signify that the On button is working. I plugged it in overnight and today - when I press the On button, again there is nothing. I have been reading online forums and the best solution seems to be to take the back off the Lenovo, disconnect the battery and drain the system for about 30 seconds, by pressing the On button with the battery disconnected. Then reconnecting the battery, testing by turning on before replacing the back - and then replacing the back. I am looking for another possible solution that does not involve taking the back off the tablet. Is there any other solution other than returning the tablet to the factory? It is no longer under the one year warranty.

Hi. I had the exact same issue you mentioned.
My tablet was working fine. Then the cover flipped it on its back, causing a very little shock to it. I normally drop it off the sofa and it's not an issue. This time, it completely turned off. Couldn't start it or boot start it. When plugged in, nothing showed up, instead of the battery meter.
Then i tried your solution of removing the back, unplugging the battery etc.
Works perfectly. Like a charm.
I know it's for some a hardcore, terrifying thing to do... but it solves the problem under 10 minutes.
My only suggestion: Make sure you remove and SIM/SD card before opening the back.

I know it's already been answered, but i felt like it could help people looking into this issue in the future.
