Hello everyone,
I know this question may sound stupid, but well, thing is I don't really know that much about hardware and sometimes "I'm afraid that i'll break something if i look at it funny".
I have had my PC built up for me and i'm using NZXT Kraken x52 CPU cooler, which looks really great, but there is a lot of smudges and fingerprints collected on the pump head (which tends to collect dust and suddenly, it doesnt look so great).
So the question is: Is it OK for me to leave the PC plugged in power (altho the switch on PSU will be turned off) so it will be grounded, open it up and use microfibre cloth to clean the pump head (all the while i'll be holding on to the PC case so i'll remain on the same ground potential). Would this procedure be ok, or should i worry about possible esd damage to anything (even if the microfibre cloth touches just the pump head and nothing more)?

Solution
It's fine to wipe it off. Like you mentioned, just make sure the system is off and that you've grounded yourself to the case to mitigate static discharge.

Thank you all for your fast answers :) And sorry it took me so long to acknowledge them. I proceeded to clean the thing up (which went well) and then said to myself i'll post an answer and my thanks tommorow... the rest is history (and my leaky memory..). So big thanks again :)
