have a built . mobo asus max v. using pci 100mb for my drive c with win 10 . i want to add a sata harddrive to my pc as drive D i tb . last year i tried to run raid but could not so i gave up and now just one back up drive will do . once again can not on this pc. anyone familure with asus max v mobo .

normal you would use this , once drive is located and format .and all that . i will look into it. what i see is disk c NTFS which has operating system 55%used .so what i also see disk o partition 3 476mb which is one of my drives according to size of hard drive . why drive o?
but there more on bottom of disk manger shows
disk 1 unknown Not initialized
Disk 2 unknown Not initialized
so are my disk actual showing up .and i need to format. i had 4 but unpluged power to two to see what will show up . in bios i had initialy selected raid but changed to ntfs or something like that . so if you can guild me further , great

Yes if they are new drives you must initialize them before they will show up.
Open Disk Management. Find and right-click the hard drive or SSD you want to initialize, and then click "Initialize Disk" and select MBR or GPT.
