keyboard not working when booting up

i want to boot from my pendrive but i cant access the bios because my keyboard only starts working when windows boots up.

i am using a laptop called lg s460-g.bg31p1 which i cannot find anywhere on the internet. The laptop in-built keyboard doesnt work so i use an external keyboard. i am running windows 10 pro (not activated).

OS has nothing to do with it as it does work when it's running. Check your BIOS and Legacy setting for USB. If it's some fancy KB it may need drivers to work properly and drivers are not loaded during POST time. Try another KB if nothing of that works.

sorry for being a noob but where do i find 'bios and legacy setting for usb'?

also according to the my keyboard manufacturer's website my keyboard doesnt need drivers.
