Wondering if CPU is too hot

Hi, i've been wondering if my CPU is too hot it's idling at 55-60C some times its 40C and gets to 70-80C under load. Monitoring with core temp. Specs below

GPU: GTX 1060 GAMING X 3GB

CPU: Intel core i7 2600k @ 3.4 ghz Turbo 3.8 ghz

Ram: 8GB Kingston 4/2gb sticks

Motherboard: Intel DH77EB Intel H77

CPU Fan: Hyper T2

Storage: 1TB Western Digital blue

Case: NZXT S340 White

PSU: 500W EVGA

Yes, like stated above it is not over the top temperature but is "kind of" hot for an "idle" temperature and your cooler should be doing a better job. Have you recently reassembled your build? See if the cooler is fitted too tight or too loose. Make sure the cooler is not filled with dust and finally, use a new thermal paste (be careful with the amount applied and make sure you clean both the surface properly with the right material prior) and again fit it to the right pressure.
