Dual monitor system with mated ASUS VN247H-P's
Core i7-2600K 3.4
16gig mem (corsair vengeance 1600mhz cl9 b)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 580
All on an Asus P8P67 Delux board

Display went funky on me all of a sudden today, by funky I mean horizontal lines in the screen, resolution reverted to native.

I'm thinking GPU died? Fan is still spinning on the GeForce GTX 580.

Tried my secondary PCI-E 16x slot on the board, same issue.

Tried reverting to single screen display on each of the ASUS monitors, same issue.

Is this most likely my MOBO or GPU that has betrayed me? Or how best can I tell.

Really appreciate any insight, thanks in advance.

You could try it in another PC, and then you will know for sure that it is not your motherboard that is causing the issue. But from experience that sounds just like a graphics card dying. I had exactly the same happen with a card of mine. In windows weird lines and artifacts. Then rebooted still showed windows boot once. Then next time it wont show anything anymore. Got a new graphics card and was very happy to get rid of my old card anyways.

I don't have another PC. I guess I could purchase another card and just return it if it doesn't resolve the issue?
