New setup gtx 1080ti

So.. i'm going to buy a new gaming pc and I wanted to know if it is a good setup because it's my first gaming pc.
Setup is: gtx 1080ti
I7-7700
And just wanted to know if they are good for a 4k monitor

I would pick the 8700K for the 1080 Ti but yes the 7700 along with the 1080 Ti will be fine with 4K gaming. It won't guarantee you 60FPS consistent across all titles so some settings might have to be lowered. 16GB RAM and a 500GB or larger SSD is recommended.
