1066 instead of 1333

I have a Fujitsu workstation M470-2 with a Xeon W3690. When I have 3 sticks in at 1333 MHz everything is ok but when I add the other 3 sticks in the frequency drops at 1066 MHz. What can I do to fix this?

Maybe nothing. Because of the extra loading on the memory controller lines, it is not uncommon for the CPU to downclock RAM when you add more.

That's really disappointing

I wish there was something to fix it... Is there a huge performance loss if I'm using it with 1066 instead of 1333?

Xeons are designed for stability. Downclocking RAM is a stability feature.

Unknown impact on your performance. It would be application dependent.
