New graphics card for dell optiplex 790 mini tower

Solution

That card is even longer (11"), but would be better if you want to avoid CPU bottleneck. Personally, at those spiked prices, I would go with the GTX 1060, tho.
Why not first shut down the PC, open the side panel and see how much room you have from the rear expansion slot to the drive cage (or whatever the card would run into first)?

If the card isn't too long, it should be fine. It is 247mm (9 3/4") long. But expect some CPU bottleneck in some games at some settings with your i5-2400. Especially on busy servers with 64 players.
That card requires a high quality 400W or better PSU with a 6-pin PCIe connector. I would not go that small however. This Seasonic 520W PSU should fit the bill w/o breaking the bank.

Yea I'm gonna stick with the 1060 its newer tech and it will surely fit in my desktop 11" is way too long and the 970 is overpriced for a GPU that come out in 2014 smh
