Can't overclock my GTX 1050ti?

Alright so I recently bought this video card expecting an upgrade, but It won't let me overclock it.

When I trying overclocking the GPU in MSI afterburner, it shows that the overclock is applying, but it doesn't actually effect my gpu at all.

Any fixes to this? :/

It will go up when it needs to. If you are for example just on idle or watching youtube, it won't need another 150 mhz. Running Unigine Heaven and OCCT (and there's other software out there too) will help see if it's stable. Though my knowledge on this subject is pretty limited so don't take my word for it entirely.

What I mean is when I apply +150 to the memory for example, it shows that it has applied it, but when I look at my clock speeds it hasn't changed at all
