I have been meaning to buy an SSD for a while, but I dont know what SSD to buy. I needed an SSD that is at least 200 GB, and is under 75 dollars. I found one that really intrigued me the Silicon Power SP240. Its 8 dollars cheaper than the rest, but I just dont know about the reliability, because I've never heard of the brand. I want the SSD to last, and perform well for the money I paid. I found 6 other SSD's from well named brands, which had the same specs, but ranging from 65-73 dollars. The names are the HP s700(regular=65 or pro=70), The PNY CS900=73, WD green ssd=71, SandiskSSD plus G26=70, Kingston A400=70, or the ADATA SU700=70. All these SSD's are 240 GB, and under 73 dollars. I want to see which one is the best for its money, best performing, and most reliable?

What the others say is valid. Personally ive had no issues with 850 evo, good solid drive, if you can stretch your budget it will be worth it.
Mixed opinion on the Crucial, had them fail on me in the past, yet they were solid in all the machines at work.
Have you considered the Sandisk Ultra II? https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-2-5-Inch-Height-SDSSDHII-240G-G25/dp/B00M8ABEIM/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1521040015&sr=1-2&keywords=sandisk+ssd+ultra+ii&dpID=41sbX%252B6g4PL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch looks to be in the right price range and they are good drives. They also dont slow down when they get full, which cant really be said for the others.

The only two I'd really consider are the Crucial, or a Samsung 850 EVO.

And for $6-$9 over your original choices....the Crucial would be my choice.
$6. Less than a Bic Mac meal, for a first rate SSD that you will have for years.
