I am looking to use an external graphics card on my laptop via EXP GDC adapter to improve FPS in games but my laptop is running an Intel Core i7-5500U. What is the most powerful eGPU that I can get that will be suitable for this processor? I was looking along the lines of a GeForce GTX 750ti but I would just like to confirm whether or not it is suitable and whether there are better options.

You know that in order to use the external video card you will need a power supply and monitor also with it right? Also the external adapter runs at PCIe 1x speeds which will bottleneck even moderate gaming video cards, and the adapter does not work with all systems.
With the prices for new video cards now, a 750Ti is as good as anything else to use.
