Looking for what people think might be issues with the new S9
Lets face it all new phones have issues but how bad is the question

Solution
Well, there were reports of the S8 randomly freezing and restarting, and Bixby was not that great and glitchy for my friend. Not to mention, there were also reports of the S8 having a problem with messages not being sent or received.

Of course, these problems have probably been resolved, but two issues I have seen are present in the S8 and is also in my S5. One of them is that the auto-rotate feature is quite glitchy, and does not work sometimes, something I see in my phone too. Another is that it would lose connectivity to 4G service or to the WiFi connection, also present in the S5.
Don't know. Honestly, a phone is a phone. If it calls for you, messages for you, allows you to watch videos at 720p/1080p and does this with a decent battery life you should be good. I got my S5 in 2014, replaced the battery in 2016, and it is still good to go. Like brand new, pretty good battery life.

After iPhone 7/S7, everything else is mostly a gimmick. Nice, new camera, great. But I do not see much use to upgrade.

I read the S9 coverage recently, and noted that one of the individuals said that it has gotten to the point that upgrades every year are not too significant. I think the S9 is just the S8 with a better Bixby and camera, but thats about it. Performance wise, it should be the same.

It's issues would probably be the same as those of the S8 when it came out.

To save me some research would you mind elaborating on the issues of S8 when they came out?
Well put though, mostly a gimmick, annoys me. I am mostly frustrated by Apples excessive release of phones 6/6+/6s/Se, I guess samsung arent that different, both just trying to get extra money.

Thanks for that. I suppose if it is that bad, Samsung wouldn't want further damage to their reputation (Note 7) they would have to deal with it, being refunds or repairs. But i feel they are typical issues with all phones here and there. Thank you for that detail! I do hope they fix some of those things, i do remember issues with the auto-rotate on my S6
