Hi all,
A few days ago, while I was gaming, my computer froze. The sound stopped on one sound effect and there were all sorts of anomalies that appeared, so I turned it off and went to bed. When I turned the computer back on, I found that the resolution was stuck on 800x600 and some anomalies were still present. I decided to install new drivers and after restart, I was left with a black screen (screen gets signal, but doesn't display anything.
I can plug the DVI cable into the mobo gpu and get signal only when the GPU is removed.
When I plug the GPU in, nothing displays. It takes an unusually long time to hear the post beep and then I can hear Windows come through the sound system.
Here is what I have tried:
1. Windows repair
2. Wiping all graphics drivers
3. BIOS reset
4. Safe mode with GPU plugged in
Specs:
Windows 10
Intel Core i7-7700k
Z270X-Ultra gaming MOBO
GeForce GTX 1060 3GT
