I am trying to build a desktop for myself. I have all the components I need and have tried to hook them all up. However, only the LEDs for the power button and the battery icon light up and show they are working. Nothing else will turn on. I tried it yesterday and my fan booted up and then I turned them off. Now they wont turn on at all. The PSU fan wont even spin on boot. I have an EVGA 650W non-modular. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

PSU fan may be set to not start until the temps get up to a certain level. If you just connect it to the wall and turn it on without even putting it in a PC then it might never come on. You might have to aim a heat source at it in order to get it to come on if you are doing something like that.

That wouldn't be a "problem" per se. As long as the fan does turn on when it heats up.

EVGA is usually pretty high end, so I would assume that the PSU is good out of the box. That being said, there are some small number of out of the box DOAs from all manufacturers so it's possible you are the unlucky one.

Are you "breadboarding" this setup? Or did you just install everything without testing anything first?
