Unless the ram is on the QVL for your motherboard, there are no guarantees! It will most likely work, but a 2x4GB kit would be preferred as that would allow you to run in dual channel mode.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I'm not able to find a dual channel pair with decent speeds online in my country.
Would a 2x4GB pair at 2400MHz be better than a single 8gb stick at 3000MHz?

Ryzen likes fast ram, but I think it would like dual channel better. I would still go for the 2x4 kit.
