Just bought a samsung 960 evo to add to my current tower running a standard mechanical hdd. Problem is bios doesn't show ssd in the ultra m.2 slot but does show the ssd in nvme config and as a boot bios option. Log into windows off hdd and can see ssd in device manager under disk drives along with hdd. Scroll down abit in device manager and can also see the nvme controller under storage controllers. Continue to disk management and only the hdd pops up. Ive tried to put a clean version of win 10 with usb still no luck. Tried a third party partition software and still could not see the ssd.
I am currently running a Asrock x99 extreme4 bios 2.00 with a 5820k, 16 gb ram, evga 1080 ftw in second pcie slot to provide room for ssd. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes i installed the nvme driver specific to the ssd. Along with making sure all drivers from asrock for windows 10 were update to hopefully be an answer to my prayers. Currently ive been talking to samsung and asrock personnel and neither have ideas but both companies was to push the problem to the other company. Ps also tried to update the firmware of the ssd to no avail.
