Do I need a soundcard (or other equipment) with Sennheiser Game Zero?

I'm looking for a new headset and am heavily considering the Game Zero. I need closed back and want a built in microwave for sure.

Do I need other equipment (like a soundcard) for the Sennheiser Game Zero?
What's the difference between the Game Zero and GSP600?

Edit: this is being used almost exclusively for gaming.

You don't need any special sound gear for this since it's 2.1 (Stereo). The main difference from what I see is frequency response in the speakers and microphone. The GSP600 has a wider range than the GSP600. The GSP is also significantly heavier (395g vs 300g). They both look solid. I'd probably lean towards the lighter Game Zero set.

I have a cheaper Sennheiser headset and love it. Very high quality gear IMHO.
