Long story short, I already have the video card and harddrive from a computer that was damaged. I have researched parts for a few days, but am a novice.

Pcpartpicker is giving me errors messages:

Solution
First address the error is actually warning. It just meant if you plug in NVME SSD, it will occupy SATA port but the mb has plenty, so no worries.

1. Since you have room for more, get 8700k instead. If 8400, no need for extra cooler, stock is enough.
2. ssd is not good quality imo, crucial/samsung are better, sata is good enough if major usage is not productivity work.
3. psu can be better
