OS: Windows 10
CPU: i7-6700k
CPU Cooler: Stock Intel Cooler
Motherboard: Maximus VIII Hero (Version 2.17.1246 with BIOS V3703)
RAM: Crucial Ballistix 2x4GB (BLS4G4D240FSB.8FBD)
Power Supply: EVGA Supernova 1000 G2
SSD: Inland 120GB SSD

I've just purchased this motherboard second hand and have been facing weird problems. When turning on the system, I sometimes receive the Q-Code 55 ("Memory Not Installed") and 03 (System Agent initialization before microcode loading). I am only able to access the BIOS once after clearing CMOS. If I turn off the system and want to access the BIOS again, I must clear CMOS. After saving optimized defaults and exiting, the screen becomes black while the system is still on, either showing code 55 or 03. It does not want to load into Windows and BIOS is not shown.

I have tried using TridentZ 2x8GB modules (F4-3600C15D-16GTZ), but with these modules the motherboard does not POST, showing Q-Codes "CC" (not shown in the manual) and "55". Both sets of ram are on the Qualified Vendors List.

What could possibly be wrong?

Yes, the same results are shown when moving one stick to different slots. However, I am now able to get into the OS (as long as I clear CMOS before starting up the system). Upon inspection, I can confirm that there are no bent pins. Also, is it possible to make my TridentZ's usable?
