First off my gpu is gigabyte r9 270x , Sooo when I play heavy games like Gta V,fortnite my screen goes black but my still pc still works , because when I talk on discord I still hear the sound of it , I downloaded MSI afterburner and set my fan-speed to 80 and sometimes 90 and its gets loud and when the screen gets black it goes quiet suddenly, sometimes the screen goes black the first 10-20mins of playing sometimes it goes after 3-4 hours I thought It was overheating but my temperatures dont go that high , the highest they got is 70 °C,firstly I didnt know why my screen was going black but after I downloaded msi afterburner and set the fanspeed to 90 and when it went black and the fanspeed went to quiet I knew it was the gpu,What should I do?

If you suspect PSU can't handle, try lowering your power target to 80% and try gaming and see if it craps out again.

Does it stay black screen until you power cycle?

Do you get a message saying "display driver stopped responding" after the system recovers from the black screen? That would potentially indicate faulty graphics card.

Have you tried a dislay driver uninstaller (DDU) clean uninstall and then reinstall latest AMD drivers?

Think it’s your gpu s thermal paste . After use for sometime and especially when gaming the paste dries out and the thermal transfer of heat is impaired of stopped altogether!! It’s easy to replace yourself, just unscrew the fans and heatsink disconnect the fan plug from main gpu board and gently pull the heatsink away from gpu chip do this carefully . Then clean both gpu and heatsink surfaces with industrial alcohol or you can by kits artic cooling do a v good on and is cheap then apply new paste same as used on your cpu artic mx 4 is very good but there are many good ones . Then reassemble place heatsink on the gpu with paste applied then replace the screws ones over the gpu first . Don’t forget to plug the fans into the gpu board refix all screws . Job done . And I bet you will find that cures you problem
