i was gonna suggest, getting a 6gb version, but budget is king. For 100 bucks, it's a bit steep. With that said I have a Evga Dual Gtx1060 6gb. i Love it. It kills evrything i throw a it at 1080p @60hz. And has room to spare. Will fare well at 1440p too. But has it's limitations at that res.

The 3gbs really makes a big difference at 1080p. Games like BF1, COD WW2, Wolfenstein 2 all use upward of 5gbs vram at 1080p, and it helps. Not only that, you have 10% average performance loss with the 3gb version, game dependant. Whether thats worth the extra money, is entirely up to you. If you have the extra dosh, and the 6gb version costs about 350 then it's worth it.

yes, and yes! :) Although, just one thing to point out, the GPU is a single fan config, meaning it may be loud! :) Just be aware.

Although the 650w PSU is a bit vague, it should be okay. The exact make and model might be better to give a real answer on that, but as I said it 'should' be okay.

Would it be worth the extra £100 for this?

It has dual fans etc, but I was reading you can only really gain around an extra 5-7 frames?

There are a FEW games in which the 3gb of memory is limiting to the point that the 1050Ti can outdo the 1060. You'll see that in the review of the RX 580, where they put it up against other AMD cards, and some of Nvidia's cards.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-radeon-rx-580-review,5020.html

The 1050Ti outdoes the 1060 3GB in: Doom, Hitman

And the 3GB 1060 BARELY edges out the 1050Ti in: Rise of the Tomb Raider

However, all the other games tested, it's not an issue. So, of those 3 games are what you plan to play a lot, then it may be worth considering the extra money for the 6GB version - otherwise the 3GB should be fine.

This is assuming you're generally playing at 1920x1080, though.
