Is my PSU enough and how to recognize that its "going to die"?

Hi guys, I am not a computer expert and this is my first post on tomshardware so please dont blame me for some (grammar) inaccuracies. :D
I have computer, which was build in december 2013, its specs are:
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 2GB OC
CPU: Intel Core i3-4330
RAM: 2x ADATA gpx 4GB
Motherboard: MSI Z87-G41 PC mate
PSU: CoolerMaster Thermal Master 500W
Few days ago I upgraded my GPU to MSI GeForce GTX 1050 TI OC with no connection to PSU. It is connected only to motherboard and I begin to wonder if my PSU is enough for this GPU. It is 4 years old and I read some reviews and some people said that its very shitty PSU (Yes it is loud, but I never had any power supply problems).
So now I fear that with the new GPU the PSU wont make it. Is it possible? And if PSU is on the edge of its possibilities, how can I recognize it?
Thanks a lot!

Solution
If it works it works. Yours seems to be working. When it dies you will get problems. But getting computer problems does not guarantee your PSU died, though your PSU dying does guarantee you get computer problems.

If your PC crashes and re-boots during high power demand scenarios, such as gaming or stress testing, that is an indicator that your PC is trying to get more power than your PSU can deliver.

@clarkjd: Not necessarily true, in fact the case where a power supply's power output is incapable of meeting the needs of the computer is rare. The more common scenario is that the voltage drops become too significant with high transients you get when gaming, and the large voltage drops are what causes the computer to crash.

There is also the possibility that not even the PSU is faulty but possibly the GPU is just failing; graphics card failures are common, it's why they only have 1 year warranties typically. So the crashes and reboots don't necessarily indicate a power supply failure, though it could be one.

@turkey3_scratch: Granted, but not necessarily false either:) I submit that large voltage drops are an indicator of an insufficient PSU, especially if it is an older PSU!(As the OP's PSU is)
