I installed Lubuntu on a old laptop. The installtion went good but when i rebooted the laptop it got stuck at:
/dev/sda1: clean, 159302/4890624 files, 1824797/19537408 blocks.

I have no idea what is causing this. I hope somebody here can help me. Thanks.

Laptop:
acer extensa 5235
intel celeron 900
intel gma 4500m

Solution
What version of lubuntu did you download? I looked at your specification for your laptop. the laptop could run mate desktop since this system came with windows 7. My suggestion is try Linux Mint Mate link below. Give this a try.

I would boot into the live session and type the command below in a terminal and post back the result please.

sudo lspci -v

This will show a list of hardware on your system I would like to see what drivers are being installed in the live session.
