About 3 months ago i noticed that i was unable to access any website download a game or watch videos, at first it wasnt to strange because at times att would throttle my 25mbps speed during heavy usage hours. A couple days later i checked back on my computer and noticed i was still not getting proper download speeds, they were worse than before. in fact i was getting .05 mbps down. It has been like this for months. I have tried every trick in the book, from reinstalling wireless adapter drivers, rolling back updates, reverting to previous nvidia driver updates and even reinstalling my computer's internal network adapter. At this point all i can is move my computer to a spot with an ethernet cable (right next to my router) Please just help

So if you connect via an ethernet cable, your connect speed is fine?
If so, then the only issue is your wireless situation.

Many variables.
How far away from the router?
What is in between?
You're not using one of those teeny nano USB devices, are you?

nothing changed at all. i just booted up my computer one day and noticed those speeds. also i do have a range extender that works on the 5ghz band, all of my devices on 5ghz seem to work fine. so is a ac pcie network adapter worth it?

You need to "identify the problem before applying a solution".

A different WiFi adapter won't fix anything if the current one is not the problem.

Does this WiFi issue happen on only one system? Phone/tablets/laptops....are they working correctly via WiFi?
New neighbors?
Any router settings changes?

sorry for the delayed response, this only affects one computer, no new neighbors, no router changes after the slowdowns. but when i experienced the slowdowns it was about when att was installing gigabit internet in the area (if it is somehow related)
