Hi guys,

I currently have a Ryzen 5 1400 paired with a GTX 1060 3GB and was wondering if upgrading to a 1070ti would be a good idea. I primarily play PUBG at high graphics and find that the VRAM runs out almost immediately (it uses all of the 3GB) causing insane stuttering. And yes, I know I could lower the graphics to medium but my stubborn brain won't let me (please forgive me HAHA). So my solution is to upgrade my 1060 to a 1070ti (because the regular 1070 is out of stock at the place I normally purchase my PC Components and also I'm already spending quite a lot of money, so I might aswell go a little further to get the Ti version). Would this combination of the Ryzen 5 1400 and GTX 1070Ti cause bottlenecking? Thoughts and suggestions would greatly be appreciated!

P.S. I don't intend on downgrading to a 1050ti as I have used that prior to the 1060 3GB.

Kind regards,
Me

Solution
Yes R5-1600 will be better for a longer run but keep in mind R5-1400 will not bottleneck 1070Ti most of the situation. Now adding a 1600 will increase your budget and it will soon become outdated with Zen+ lineup. It will be better to stick to the R5-1400 and wait for 2020 for Zen 2 and then upgrade your CPU for a significantly faster, supremely optimized and refined Zen CPU.
