Help I'm trying to install this backplate on my b150a gaming pro motherboard. I am having so much trouble installing the X shaped 4 screws on the 4 corners where the CPU is. It is so hard to line them up. I hope i am not damaging the CPU by applying way too much pressure on the motherboard. I have been doing this for hours. My socket type is LGA 1151. Any help will be appreciated

its not a good cooler .... the onlything good about it is the price ... i switched to the noctua nh-d15 and the instalation was so easy and the fans are so quiet while the 212 was a helicopter in my case

i didn't have much trouble with the cooler the many times i installed one. take the cpu out for the moment and practice a couple times lining it up and getting it started.

then when you're confident with it, put the cpu in, add thermal paste and then do it for real once. :)

cooler is plenty good enough for the price. i have one on a 4690k running at 4.3 ghz. runs cool and quiet with no temps issues at all.

there are better coolers now for the budget so all of a sudden folks want to pretend like it somehow makes the hyper 212 a bad cooler. it's just not the best budget cooler anymore that's all.

Well I'm glad that good. But now the MAJORRR issue is the motherboard already have the latest BIOS update. The last update i read on the MSI website was July 27 2016. I bought the motherboard in the end of January last year in 2017
