Wanna ask whether Team Elite Plus Black DDR4 PC21000 2666Mhz 8GB 19-19-19-43 - TPD48G2666HC1901 would run on my new build? Asrock ab350 Fatality Gaming K4 with Ryzen 5 1600 on it.

1. Would the memory run on single channel with 2666mhz speed?
2. My seller here suggest me to buy dual channel memory kits, but I'm not sure about it. Besides, the kits would cost me 50% more here with the same total capacity.
3. ...and, which one's better between Team 2666mhz CL19 and Klevv 2400mhz CL15?

Thanks for anyone that would suggest me G.Skill memory. It's out of stock here.
And I prefer those memories because of the price and availability.

My last build was i5 2500K 8gb Ram on 1600mhz. Using it for "little" rendering like editing small video, gaming etc.
Wanna build Ryzen for "little" extra performance. While the i5 will be given to my sister. Choosing Ryzen too because of the price, of course.

Oh no. A single stick will run just fine. It just has disadvantages. There's a multitude of errors that can be caused by bad ram, yet they look like another component or drivers or software is the issue. With just 1x stick it makes it extremely hard to get an accurate diagnosis. The chances of both out of 2x sticks going bad simultaneously are astromically slim. With just 2x stick, if it goes bad, you are done, sunk. With 2x sticks, you still (almost always) have at least 1x good working stick to rule out bad ports, bad ram, have a working pc etc.
2x sticks run dual channel mode which can be upto @20% better performance vrs a single stick. For some, especially Ryzen cpus, that's an important factor in OC settings.

1 stick will work...

Team is good. The Ryzen will be slightly better (especially if oc'd) with the faster ram. All ddr4 is dual channel rated. While there's usually 4 slots on a motherboard there's only 2 channels (dual slot motherboards still have 2 channels). To take advantage of dual channel requires only 2 sticks in the package and use 1-3 or 2-4 slots on the mobo. Single channel is when there's only 1 stick and none to make a pair, so if you have 3 sticks then 2 will generally run dual channel and the oddball would be single channel. A 2 stick kit really shouldn't cost much if anything more than a single larger stick as smaller sticks are cheaper to produce. Dual channel can show as much as 20% performance increase over a single channel.

So, it'll not run or even boot if I just put one stick? Still curious.
A kit of 2x4gb here is more expensive here than a single 8gb.

1 stick will work fine. 2x sticks just works better. The shop dude was right, even if he wasn't totally accurate as to why dual sticks would be advisable.
