Which one of these Z270 motherboards would be better?

I'm looking for a decent Z270 motherboard that has the following features:

  • Support for Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (which would be 2 x CMR16GX4M2D3200C16) 3200 MHz – since I already have one set of CMR16GX4M2D3200C16 and I'll buy another one eventually;
    Compatible with Corsair 400C case;
    Any amount of PCI-Express 3.0 slots, as I don't plan on doing SLI;
    Compatible with Core i7-7700K;
    Compatible with Corsair TX-650M;
    Aimed at gaming even though I'll also use it for work.

I was looking at the MSI SLI PLUS compatibility list and they mention CMR16GX4M2C3000C15 and CMR32GX4M4C3000C15 but not CMR16GX4M2D3200C16, or CMR32GX4M4C3200C16, or even 2x CMR16GX4M2D3200C16 (which I believe would be the same as the 32 GB one with 4 x 8GB?)

I have a MSI GTX 1060 6GB Gaming X but since they got really expensive in my country I'll be able to sell it for a good price, possibly more than what I paid for, and then I'll grab a GTX 1080. I paid ~US$ 415.00 for my graphics card a few months ago and now it's costing ~US$ 580.00 for whatever reason.

I also have a Corsair H80i v2.

With that in mind, could anyone tell me which one of the following motherboards would be a better choice?

I have two in mind, the MSI Z270 SLI PLUS and MSI Z270 GAMING PLUS, but if there's a better option for roughly the same price I'd like to know about it. And if not, then which one of these is a better option?

Considering that a) I don't need the HDMI output from the Z270 SLI PLUS since I'll plug the HDMI cable on the GTX 1080 and b) I won't use USB Type-C or if I do I'll just get an expansion card.

The only real reason I don't go straight for the Z270 GAMING PLUS is because I'm afraid I'll lose a lot compared to the SLI PLUS or another option that I don't know about. If it wasn't for that, I would've gone with the Z270 GAMING PLUS already because it looks fantastic and would go really well with my build.

I would rethink the processor first, by USD you can spend about 30 bucks more and get a 6 core i7 8700K and pair it with a Z370 board.
If you already have a 2X8GB set you should not need more unless your using memory intensive work programs, and anytime you add more memory their no guarantee it will work together even buying another set of the same memory.

Yes I'm aware that more than 16 GB of RAM isn't really necessary for gaming, but I'm planning on using a few apps I use at work too. Plus I'll need a lot of RAM available when I open dozens of reference pictures and videos. If I decide not to bring work home then I'll just keep it at 16 GB.

The only reason I didn't think about the Z370 mobo is availability. It's currently impossible to find it anywhere near where I live and if I wanted to buy one I'd have to purchase it online and wait weeks for it to arrive, and I want it asap.

I can always just buy it when it gets popular in here but right now I wanted to choose between those two.
