i5 8700k, GTX 1080 FE, and a 430w PSU. Is it enough?

Hi and thanks for checking out my post in a time of crisis (for me).

I just found out my PSU (Corsair RM 650) wont fit with a graphics card in my new case (Cougar QBX). If I put my old PSU (Corsair CX 430) will it be enough to power my system while gaming? Is it dangerous to try?

Not a good idea to proceed , you need a decent 550w - 650w.

GeForce GTX 1080 needs 30 amps on the 12v+ rail and a 550W PSU minimum , USUALLY with at least 1 - 6+2 Pin PCIE power connection.

Your case supports a psu only up to 140mm long.
Look for a Seasonic focus 650w which will fit.
