Hey internet,

Reasontly bought myself a ryzen 3 2200g and an ASUS a320m-k as a bundle.

There seems to be an intermittent gilt with the motherboard and Apu. The system crashes making horrible electronic noises Alfter about an hour or so of being on. Sometimes in 5 mins.

When the system crashes it doesn’t boot the ASUS logo with options to go into bios. Then boots into 680x420 resolution with no way of changing it. This also happened when I rebooted it.

I have tried using different monitors even vga and still does it. Only way I found to get the system working again is to turn off and unplug the psu for 20 mins. Alfter that it works then crashes then problem repeats.

When it boots correctly the asus boot screen appears and get max resolution.

Sorry this has been a bit lengthy please help internet :)

Solution
- Update (or just install if you don't have it) your APU graphics driver. https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboards/PRIME-A320M-K/HelpDesk_Download/ It's the VGA driver. This is not included in the chipset driver and needs to be installed separately.

- Update your chipset drivers to latest version. https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboards/PRIME-A320M-K/HelpDesk_Download/

- Update your BIOS to latest version. https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboards/PRIME-A320M-K/HelpDesk_BIOS/

I agree with the above posters. It sounds like a heat issue. Chips shut down when they get overheated to prevent damage. When you wait 20 min to restart the CPU has cooled off so it starts normally. You can download hwmonitor to check your temps. Make sure the cooler is properly seated on the IHS and that thermal paste has been applied. Too much paste is just as bad as too little. You only need a half of a pea size blob of paste.

I would also make sure all of the various drives are up to date. This is a new product from AMD, so there will be kinks that will be addressed in the early drivers.

Thanks for replying to my post.

Iv installed the latest chip-set drivers from asus doing a clean install and as far as i can tell the PC seems to work fine with out crashes.

still got the odd issue with somtimes it boots in low rez. to fix this i plug in vga boot the pc then swap over to hdmi. this only happens once the pc has orginaly been booted and turned off. this can happen at any length of time the pc has been on. and no asus screen when this happens.

At least i got the system working now thinking it might be some odd glitches as the processor is so new and its the first bios update released with the cpu. the bios i have on the system is 3803.

as for temps when on max load the cpu dont go above 55c and seeing what others have on forums that seems well within the threshold.

ill be phoning up ASUS tomorrow and ill get back if they recommend anything.

Long story short its working but tempermental.

thanks again :)

Hey Guys.
I know this topic maybe old but I dont want to start the same conversation as new topic.
recently I bought an Asus A320M-K and AMD A8-9600 with a 8GB Ram
All parts was brand new.
When I put them together in first start I experienced some lagging in All applications in windows 10.
I played some games about 2 hours its worked awesome and nicely.
temperature was OK, CPU 44C and MB 45C while gaming.
But..!!
Problem get started with a crashing and experienced the blue screen on Windows 10 after I closed the game.
I tried latest Chipset Driver/ APU Driver / Bios Firmware...
but its just get worst... and I couldn't get further than Windows logo..
Screen getting horizontal and vertical lines and cubes with blue colors and crashing...

So I installed an Dedicate VGA Card and problem was solved.

Now I want to know what is the problem?
I sent CPU to the guarantee support and they said there is nothing wrong with that CPU.

Now I'm really confused and don't know what to do with that damn issue...

What do you think? Which part is going wrong?
