4pin power supply cable with a 8pin on mobo for CPU HELP will it work!!!

I am building my brothers PC and I have run across a problem the CPU cable is a 4pin but the motherboard is a 8pin will it still work (NOT OVERCLOCKING)
PSU-Powerspec 430watt (MICROCENTER BRAND)
CPU-Ryzen 3 2200G
GPU-NONE
Hard DRIVE- 1tb
Ram- 8gb of DDR4
Motherboard- AsRock AB350M Pro4

yes it will though you'd be better getting decent PSU.
