Hi guys,

I just need some advice on a computer I have found that I'd potentially like to buy.

It is a HP 'Lynnfield' I7 875, MS 7613 M/board, 8gb ram, 1000w psu, 500gb hdd with a Palit GTX 1060 3gb gpu.

Being sold over here in Australia for $499au. I am on a budget so this is looking very enticing. Should I be wary of this? I use Photoshop, Illustrator alot and want something to play newer games with as well as stream xbox and PS4 via OBS.

What do you think? Is that gpu ok to use with this cpu and motherboard?

Thanks all!

It should be okay, but the CPU is a 1st-gen Intel Core i from 2010. If it came with a good motherboard for overclocking (it doesn't) that would be better.

I have my doubts about buying such an old system with no upgrade path. But, I'm not sure what else you can get for around the same price. It might be okay for what you need, but there's just no upgrade path.

Thanks for that. I did have my reservations about the 1st gen i7 and I'm not particularly fond of the Mboard. But the gtx 1060 certainly caught my eye. The lack of upgrade path is a worry.
