Having problems to find a gaming mouse that fits my hands...

Hello everybody

I am a budget gamer and used as a mouse for years the sharkoon fireglider. It was a low budget gaming mouse and the ergonomie was average, I used it mostly on fingertip grip.

That is why I wanted to buy this time a mid to highend gaming mouse which is really comfortable ergonomically. I went to my local store and tried out around 30 gaming mouses (Razer, roccat, Logitech etc.). None of those mices really fit my hands. I watched reviews and decided between the hyped logitech g 502 Spectrum and the new roccat Kone Aimo.

After I visited the store for 4-5 times and still couldnt decide between the two I fed up and went for the Logitech g 502. I definitely wanted that sniper button on the Thumb region. Also I think I prefer more of a palm grip.

Now, two days after buying it and gaming for around 8 hours fps like player unknowns it still feels extremely awkward and not very comfortable.

What shall I do no? I have 14 days to replace it with another mouse of the store...

I have to say that I have never owned a mouse I was satisfied with. Every mouse I had was quiet average. But this time I would like to have a mouse I am REALLY comfortable with but I am not sure if my expectations are just too high. Chances are there is just no mouse which really fits my hands...

Thanks for answers.

Yeah, not only is every grip different from person to person (no two people use the claw grip the same) but its also different mouse to mouse.

If I had to generalize, I used a palm grip on my old deathadder (terrible mouse btw), but with my corsair I hold the mouse with my finger tips and push the base into my palm. However, this is only in certain situations, right now my hand is almost flat against the mouse.

If I laid my hands flat my mouse wouldnt even reach my palm from my finger tips.
If the mouse is physically uncomfortable, you should return it.
There is an adjustment period (sometimes very long) where the mouse wont feel right (missing shots, over/under shooting movements), but that gets better, if its physically not comfortable, you will probably never adjust to it.

My first bit of advice is to never consider "grip type". Plain and simple its never the same and it just makes things harder.
You already did my second piece of advice, which is to go to a store and try some out.

If the 502 isnt feeling good, maybe try a more "plain" style, like a Corsair M65. Its shorter, wider, and more even. There are subtle ergonomics to it that are quite nice for me.

I have a M size hand, tend to switch between claw and finger grips, and prefer a lightweight, flickable mouse - currently using the G-Pro perfect fit for me. I also did not like the G502 since it seems to prefer a palm grip and it's a bit heavy for my play style.

Maybe return the g502 and go for the Aimo, roccat makes a good kit but pricey. A good resource for reviews is RJNs Find-a-mouse which sorts by hand size and grip type, and his top 40 list is a good reference of hand size and weight.

Thanks for your answers. @ Gam3r01: What do you mean exactly with never consider grip type? That every grip is different from person to person and it is not a reliable compare-measurement?
Sorry if I misunderstood that...
