Frame drops with Ryzen 5 2400g

My build
R5 2400g
8x2 3200mhz
Gigabyte Ab350-gaming 3

The games I've been playing are

Arkham knight 900p low

Borderlands 2 1080p high

In Arkham knight the fps is around 30 but suddenly drops to about 5 after every 30-40 seconds for about 5 seconds

In borderlands 2 I hoped to get 60+ fps but it stays around 50 which is fine by me but like Arkham Knight it too stupid to single digits, in this case after every min. or so.

Has anybody else faced this issue?

Can something be done to fix it?

Some games are playable with the igpu at 1080p, but it was intended for 720p.
Arkham Knight is just a bad pc port. Not much you can do about it.

Perhaps look into getting a discreet gpu later down the road whenever prices come down, or check the used market for some 970s.

The 2400g's igpu is on par with the GT 1030/RX 550, so even a 1050 would show a noticeable improvement - performance will vary depending on the game, though.
