So I've been having issues with my Ryzen 1700x system freezing. I was pretty sure it was memory related because until recently I couldn't find my kit anywhere on the compatibility list until now. The one thing I don't understand is what the 3 different lists for compatibility mean. Here's a link to the page for my motherboard and I'll list off what they are in case the link doesn't work. https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/support/X370-GAMING-PRO-CARBON#support-mem-11 The 3 filters are A-Series, 1x00, and 2x00G/GE. What do those mean? I can only find my kit on the 3rd filter 2x00G/GE so I'm curious if that means anything. One thing that did seem to help the freezing so it doesn't happen every cold boot was using the BIOS to set my RAM to 1.36V and the NB voltage to 1.1v It'll still freeze once or twice after a cold boot and after a few hard resets with the power button it'll run perfectly so really all I can think of is RAM. If it weren't for the RAM shortage I'd get a G.Skill Ryzen tested kit to test but I'm not willing to drop $200 for a theory.

Solution
A-Series are old and new APU processors. 1x-xxxxk are older(FM2) APUs adapted for AM4 platform and Rx.2xooG/GE are 2200g and 2400g,new Raven Ridge processors with GPU inside.
Rx 1xoo are upcoming Athlon processors based on Raven Ridge but with no GPU.
That MSI motherboard is not very best, many complaints about same problem.
