CPU fan fine, header dead.

I've seen enough threads about it, as well as testing it myself, to conclude that my CPU fan spins, but because it's in a chassis header, it won't boot.

So, is there anything to change in the BIOS to detect the CPU fan in the wrong header.

I'm only asking because the thread that gave me my answer was from 2013

-Asus Z170-p
-i7 6700k
-some ThermalTake tower cooler and fan.

Solution
go to bios and search for fan control. If you can enable cpu fan control, do that you should see fan speed setting, if there is "ignore" use that and save

It's not the pins. It's the dan header on the board. The fan spins up properly whe it's plugged into the chassis header.

im asking if anyone knows anything I can do in BIOS to bypass the no fan warning

Thanks Fagetti. I now have a working PC :D

For future and anyone else's reference, the full process is:
>hammer F2 to get the to UEFI BIOS
>advanced mode
>monitor
>CPU fan speed
>set to ignore
>functioning PC
